The Start
The R4 Cycle Ride will start at 8.30am the Saturday 15th of May 2010, on Rangiuru St, outside the ibis Rotorua Hotel entrance.
All riders must be at the start line by 8.15am
For safety reasons the following format will be in place for the start
of the event. Riders will be requested to position themselves in their
estimated finish time category on the start line (there will be signs
to indicate the groupings). This is essential for the safety of riders,
as riders will be riding in a pack of similar ability and therefore
minimize the need to pass others.
1) All riders sub 2hours 30 min
2) All riders 2 hours 30 min - 3 hours
3) All riders 3 hours - 3 hours 30 min
4) etc
Please note: All competitors will receive a timing transponder at
registration and your time will be calculated from when you cross the
start line so that no rider is disadvantaged. The gun time will be used
for merit/grade prizes only.
